SSP (Statutory Sick Pay)

If you are an employee (Clipper PAYE or Clipper Total) then you may be eligible to claim Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) for the period you are off work. If eligible, you'll be able to get up to £118.75 for up to 28 weeks.

There are certain eligibility criteria which can be found here on the government website. You can claim from day one as long as you earn on average over £125 per week. You'll need to tell Clipper Contracting Group within 7 days of your first day of illness to qualify.

For any period of sickness beyond 7 days, you will need a fit note from a healthcare professional (GP, hospital, nurse etc). You should provide this to Clipper Contracting Group.
