SafeRec

SafeRec is a 3rd party software solution which forms part of the Saferec suite of solutions. These softwares allow for independent payslip verification to ensure all deductions, costs and tax are correctly accounted for in the supply chain. These solutions are particularly leveraged against umbrella companies like Clipper Contracting Group and are becoming mandatory when engaging with many end-clients and recruitment agencies ahead of the Joint Several Liability legislation that comes into force in April 2026.

SafeRec Certification combines independent auditing with real-time payslip and RTI auditing to povide fully transparent supply chain visibility.

The journey begins with a comprehensive legal review, conducted by WTT Legal, a regulated UK law firm specialising in tax and employment law. This review scrutinises every aspect of the umbrella company's contracts, policies, and operations to ensure full alignment with current legislation and industry best practices.

Following this legal review, SafeRec issues a detailed Due Diligence Report — made available at no cost to any recruitment agency or end client within the SafeRec ecosystem. It's instant assurance, freely accessible to all stakeholders considering a partnership with a certified provider.

To maintain certification, umbrella companies' third-party payroll software is connected to SafeRec's platform for ongoing, real-time auditing. Every payslip and RTI is received at source, directly via payroll system integration, and cross-checked against HMRC data — ensuring accurate tax deductions and complete transparency for every worker, on every payment.
